These lucky three have found their forever homes! First up, Susie was adopted on May 26th, 2018. She now has a mom who has the whole summer to spend with her before school starts up again (she is a school teacher), and two kitty siblings!
Rudy was adopted by his foster family: Emma, Chris, and Rudy's furry sister Cali. They decided that they could not envision being without him, and wanted Cali to continue with the positive change in energy she's been showing.
Last up, Buddy was adopted on 6/3/18 by an awesome family that met him at our adoption event at Woofgang's Bakery in Thornton Park! They took him home to do a trial and decided they wanted him as part of their family. He now has three human siblings, a kitty sibling and a pup sibling as well.
Happy tails to all of you and we wish you nothing but the best!
This weekend we welcomed three new pups to the EPAR family. Odyssey, a lab mix of some kind, was pulled from Orange County Animal Services on Thursday, mere hours before her time was up. She is currently pregnant and her X-rays indicate that she is carrying about 8 pups. She is incredibly far along, so we are expecting her to give birth any day now.
Susie came to us from the Miami-Dade area. She was found by a fellow rescuer who asked us to take her. She was then transported from south Florida to us and she is getting settled in to her new home. She is very young and looks to possibly have Dachshund or another small breed mixed in as her legs are very short.
Marisol also comes to us from south Florida from the same rescuer. She was first seen with the male that fathered her puppies, but upon capture he was nowhere to be found. The rescuers are still holding out hope that he will come around again. She is also very pregnant and will be giving birth soon. We will keep everyone updated on their progress and post pictures when the puppies come.
All three pups have a host of medical issues, with Odyssey having an upper respiratory infection as well as being heartworm positive. Susie has worms and her blood oxygen levels are low. And finally, the puppies of both Odyssey and Marisol will need vet visits once they are born. All dogs will need shots and to be fixed. And, both pregnant and nursing mamas will need large amounts of high quality nutritious food to sustain their puppies, as well as lots of food for the growing Susie. Please consider making a small donation to their care here.
